Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Analyze financial information to project future revenues or expense. Evaluate degree of financial risk
Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
Maintain balance sheets, Prepare bank deposits, Process account invoices
Ensure timely payment on all invoices; work with vendors and business owners to resolve any discrepancies on open invoices; maintain invoices, and receipts
Prepare of all federal, state and county tax and regulatory filings. Research and resolve account reconciling items. Determine tax liability according to prescribed laws
Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Prepare audit sampling package for external & internal audits
Detect discrepancies on records or report
Conduct financial investigations
Secure financial information by completing database backups; keeping information confidential
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Fill out business or government forms
Assist with other special projects as assigned while working closely with the team
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Education: College Degree, 4-year Accounting or Business related degree required
Experience: 2-5 years experience; preferred.
Computer Skills: Employees must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Windows-based operating systems. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with QuickBooks or other Accounting Systems
